Ensure your vision meets N3 License requirements with Dr Allan Fong, Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist
An N3 License is a regulatory requirement for individuals handling, transporting or working with hazardous substances in Singapore. Issued by the National Environment Agency (NEA), the N3 license ensures that professionals in high-risk industries have the necessary qualifications and meet stringent health and safety standards. One key component of the application process is an ophthalmological eye examination to verify that applicants have adequate vision for safe handling of hazardous materials.
The N3 License is typically required for professionals in industries such as:
Determines ability to distinguish colours, crucial for hazard identification.
Screens for conditions like glaucoma, which could affect vision.
Upon the completion of your test, a detailed medical report will be issued to you. You can then submit this as part of your N3 license application.
Beyond N3 license checkups, we also offer occupational eye screenings for:

Yes, but the test will also assess your unaided vision to ensure it meets regulatory standards.
As the pupil dilation test may cause temporary blurred vision, it is advisable to arrange alternative transport home after the appointment.
